Sanggye Paik Hospital begin construction in January 1988 in a medical district of an apartment complex in Sanggye-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul, and opened in August 1989 consisting of 4 basement floors and 16 ground floors. Since then, we have been a university hospital based in Seoul and northeast region of Gyeonggi Province. Sanggye Paik Hospital operates total of 28 departments in addition to 30 specialty clinics, including Health Promotion Center, Spine Center, Cardiovascular Center, Epilepsy Center, Cancer Center, Breast Cancer Center, Asthma & Allergies Center, Foot & Foot Joint Center, Diabetes Center, Obesity Clinic, Smoking Cessation Clinic, Growth Clinic, Parkinson's Disease Clinic, and Memory & Dementia Clinic, to seek multidisciplinary treatment for various diseases of modern people. Moreover, Sanggye Paik Hospital has opened a Daycare Surgery Center in which the patient can save time and costs by undergoing all examinations, surgery and discharge on the day he or she visits the hospital.

Sanggye Paik Hospital has also computerized all hospital orders and has been equipped with PACS, and the latest imaging communications system to maximize the efficiency of medical services, and is future-oriented hospital with vitality from the collaboration of experienced faculty and young and enthusiastic medical professionals.
