Radiation Oncology
The Radiation oncology division uses radiation to deal with cancers and conducts radiation treatments for various cancers including breast cancers, head and neck cancers, lung cancers, colorectal cancers, uterine cancers, and other benign tumors. High energy rays like X-rays, gamma rays, and electron rays are used for radiation treatments, removing cancers through direct interaction with cell DNA.
Busan Paik Hospital provides treatment using advanced treatment equipment such as Varian’s RapidArc, available for IMRT, arc therapy and 3-D conformal radiotherapy.
